Just ran across this blog and I’m digging it.. Learned about it from a friends twitter (twitter is good for something after all). Cruse over and check out Jim Goldstein’s blog. There are hundred’s of really great images in his “Best Photos of 2009 blog project” line-up. Fun stuff!

...should I be posting my images online for others to steal use without my permission...

The question that runs through my head is and apparently many others is; should I be posting my images online for others to steal use without my permission (or something close to that). I was introduced to a great resource for photographers recently; her name is Carolyn Wright – Photo Attorney. Well not introduced directly to her personally, but to her web-site. Which, by the way is amazing!

I have spent WAY to much time digging through the archives reading everything from “when not to take a photo” to “copyright’s” to “registering your images.” All must reads if your going to be posting your images online or plan to do photography as a source on income.

I have never needed the assistance of an Attorney with my photography, but if I ever do, I am seriously going to call her. By the way, she’s a darn good photographer as well.

So next time your cursing the web or uploading images to your favorite photo-sharing site, stop by her site and give it a quick look. You will diffidently find some useful information.

...a really inspiring photographic website that I recently starting visiting - Pictory.

Pictory - Your Best Photo Stories http://www.pictorymag.com/

I wanted to share a really inspiring photographic website that I recently starting visiting – Pictory. I try to stop by here as often as possible for inspiration and just to relax and read all the stories behind the images. The layout of this site is outstanding – very high quality.

Pictory is currently accepting submissions about the house you grew up in. Send in your photos, I would, but the house I grew up in really doesn’t have a story to tell. I highly recommend you pay the site a visit and I bet you will be back to visit again.

Hit me in the comments and let me know what you think!
